Kate's Got a New Go-To Style

One of my favorite fashion icons, Ms. Kate Moss, seems to be loving this stripes-and-stars look (quite American for the Brit, huh?), so much that she wore it at the end of March in LA and just yesterday in London. Of course, I love the look, especially the fact that her typical drainpipes and blazer signatures getting a fashion-forward (no pun intended) boost. And, as usual, I am looking forward to these shots spawning numerous copy-cats in Hollywood and the real world.

Beauty Blog: How To- Thandie's Sweet Cheeks

Just in time for spring comes this delightful and adorable makeup trend of pink, rosy cheeks, courtesy of Thandie Newton. As always there's a fine line between looking lovely and sun-kissed and clownish, or in this case, like Raggedy Ann. Here's how not to cross that line.

Rosy Cheeks: The right shade of blush is key for this look; choose a more pink based shade, rather than peachy or orange. First, tap brush on your wrist to get rid of excess powder; then swirl blush onto the apples of your cheeks in a circle, focusing also on the upper cheekbones, and viola- a fresh look for spring!

Dita's Got the Best Airport Style

I officially declare it. I've long been a fan of Dita Von Teese's dramatic and retro style and can remember a few months ago reading an interview with her in which she questioned why people didn't get dressed up for travel like they used to. I happen to feel similarly towards the "Slopification of America" (to quote Stacy London), so I'm glad to see proof that she lives up to her beliefs.

Parties: Opening Night at the Met

The glitz, the glamour, ahhh, the Met. Yes, the other night was the opening night at the Metropolitan Opera sponsored by Yves Saint Laurent. Every year this gala brings out New York City's most famous, wealthy, and fabulous. And this year was no exception.

More Michelle on the Gossip Girl Set

Man, I'm pissed I missed last night's show... ugh. But anyway, I'm so excited for Michelle Trachtenberg's appearences on GG. So far I'm in love with her wardrobe, especially this outfit. (Blair's can be a bit ecccentrically prissy for me and Serena's is great, but I don't like the way her uniform's typically dressed up.) Anyway, have a look-see while I scrounge Youtube for clips of last night's show.

SJP's Looking Very "Carrie"

And I can't be more excited! At last night's premiere of hubby Matthew's new movie Then She Found Me, Sarah Jessica Parker looked a little in character (or slightly inspired by her 2005 SAG Awards ensemble) in a Bitten (her line at Steve & Barry's) blue and white floral dress, that will totally be in my closet ASAP, and Valentino heels. But, like wow; this makes me crave the Sex and the City Movie even more. And, of course, the best part of a new movie is always the red rug press tours!

Blake & Leighton Bring Their Gossip to Nylon

Our favorite fictional fashionistas Blair and Serena's real life alter-egos Blake Lively and Leighton Meester are discussing Gossip Girl and rumors in the current issue of Nylon magazine. The gals look fab all dolled up, like everyday on set. Leighton said about Blair, “Maybe I’ve known [Blair] somehow or I know her in myself and she needs somebody to portray her in a way that isn’t completely harsh because she could be so hated.” This just only makes me crave tonight's episode even more!

Heidi Klum Wears a Rami Kashou Dress

Heidi's such a sweetie. I've often seen her wearing past Project Runway contestants on the show, but not to any events (of my knowledge). She wore the season 4 PR finalist's purple minidress to accept Us Magazine's "Style Icon of the Year" award. Wow, wearing it to accept a style award seems big to me; I adored Rami on the show and hope we continue to see his designs.

Weren't we just discussing purple dresses? and Project Runway?

Trend Origins: Spring 2008- Floral

This designer is known for her cheery and everyday cool clothing. And her Spring show was no exception. The opening looks were of semi-sheer pastel flower prints cut into light and flowing feminine shapes. The designer has an affection for the nautral elements and the show was set to a "vertical vegetal wall" that was later donated to a low-income housing project. And the designer is...

Stella McCartney

Look for Less: Rihanna's Street Chic Neutrals

I personally adore the neutral trend- it's simple, easy to work into any wardrobe, super affordable (as seen here) and looks great with my skin tone (warning: this last one may not apply to everyone). Moving on, Rihanna was recently spotted looking effortlessly fashionable in her simple combination of a trench-like coat, skinny jeans, and wedges. Get the look with these affordable finds.

Red Carpet Style: Renee Zellweger

Her new film Leatherheads may not be doing so well at the box office, but that hasn't stopped Renee and her ever-the-most-handsome-man-on-earth costar and director George Clooney from shying away from the international red carpets to promote it. For me, Renee is typically either a complete hit or a total miss, and this press tour has been a complete hit.

News: First Look at Rogan for Target

Target has done it again! That is, bringing one of the coolest, hippest lines to the mass market. This time it's Rogan, the recent CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award winner. The very best part? This is Target's first Go International collection that's entirely eco-friendly! And it' in stores on May 15th, perfect for summer vacation shopping!

Trend Radar: Purple & Black

Wow, black & other color combos seem to be a big dealio. First black & pink, now purple seems to be stepping into whole ensembles, not just accessories. The lads starting the trend are...

{Kate Bosworth in a purple dress, black leggings, and Chloe shoes}

{Kelly Ripa in a lighter-hued Marc Jacobs frock}

Red Carpet Style: Kristen Bell & Mila Kunis

While promoting Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis have looked completely fabulous (I get the feeling they've been using the same stylist, but nevertheless). The cast seems to be everywhere these days; this morning I was watching Vh1's Top 20 Countdown and who was being interviewed, you ask? Why, it was none other than Ms. Mila and costar Jason Segel! So- I'm really hoping this Apatow raunchy-rom-com is numero uno at the box office this weekend, it looks so hysterical! Distractions aside, here's the gals best fashion hits:

{K-Bell in a sweet and sassy Etro dress}

{M.K. in obssesion-worthy boy-meets-girl Sass & Bide}

{In trendy ikat maxi Jenni Kayne}

{In a Grecian-inspired gray gown}

Best Dressed: New Year's in April Gala

Sorry for the brief hiatis, but FF's back and promising a full return. Anyway, on with the post. On Wednesday night, quite a few chic New York younglings celebrated at the annual ball that supports the New Yorkers for Children charity. If I was to ever post a 'Worst Dressed' list, Mary-Kate Olsen would top it *cough, cough*, but here are the best of the best:

{Emmy Rossum in Dior by John Galliano}

{Leighton Meester in Missoni}

{Joy Bryant in Missoni}
