Have You Met: Brit Rock It-gal Daisy Lowe

The only reason I've decided to talk about her now is because Glastonbury, the famed British rock festival that I wish I was at, just ended yesterday. Moving on; Daisy, daughter of Gavin Rossdale (now the hubby of Gwen Stephani; I'm actually listening to him now), has been modelling since she was 2 and has recently appeared in campaigns for Wheels & Dollbaby, Whistle, and Doc Martens. Her style is also so unique and very inspiring to me; I just adore her!

Red Carpet Style: Anne Hathaway

I just saw Get Smart this Saturday, and enjoyed it, but it wasn't 'intelligent' at all. Anyway, the star Anne Hathaway has looked nothing short of fabulous this press tour (she also looked freakin' awesome in the film). From egdy to sweet (see bottom 2 pics) she's certainly rocked it out. And I've enjoyed watching.

Emile Hirsch for Valentino (!)

EEEEKK! My favorite actor, Emile Hirsch, is the new face of men's Valentino. The photos were shot by renowned photographer Gian Paolo Ferrari and the high fashion digs were designed by Ferruccio Pozzoni. The pictures served as the backdrop for the house's menswear show this past Friday. I'm freaking out because he's so delicious and because these pics were also seen on FabSugar.

Red Carpet Style: Charlize Theron

The Oscar-winner has been looking absolutely fierce this past week promoting her sure-to-be-moneymaker Hancock. Her and costar Will Smith have been everywhere lately, knocking the premiere's out early; their superhero flick doesn't open until July 1st. But give me some Charlize anytime and I'll take it!

News: Entertainment Weekly's New Classics: Style

Entertainment Weekly's come out with lists of the top 100 moments (since 1983) that changed fashion and pop culture. Over on my other blog I've discussed my likes and dislikes of their movie, TV, and music choices. I wasn't happy with those lists and I'm not with this one, either.

The good:
I agree whole-heartedly with their number one choice of the legend-that-is Madonna, because... she's Madonna and it made her career (though how big was it really for fashion?) And I'm even happier to see Kurt Cobain's grunge look on the list, mostly because he still influences designers to this day.

The bad:
The inclusion of Amy Winehouse (as much as I like her music) is ridiculous; though her eye makeup did inspire the Fall '07 Chanel runway. And I think it's a good time to express my hate for J. Lo's hideous 2000 Grammy dress; I've always detested it, but now more than ever.

Red Carpet Style: Keira & Sienna

Can you say "So freakin excited?!?!" Cause that's what I am. Of course, Sienna Miller is one of my style icons and after seeing Atonement I've really warmed up to Keira Knightly. Now they have a new film set to come out later in the year called The Edge of Love. And what do new movies mean- press tours! Bottom line- I'm in fashion heaven!

News: Botkier for Target Sneak Peek

Yay, another designer-done-cheap from the one-and-only Target. Those on a budget, such as myself, can rejoice that this time around it's a great designer whose high end designs are absolutely fabulous. I may just have to pick up one of those black and white bags, myself. Get 'em July 20th- September 14th!

Red Carpet Style: Zooey Deschanel

Though her film, The Happening with uber-hunk Mark Walberg, may not be getting grand reviews, that hasn't brought down indie-cutie Zooey's mood (or fashion choices). I'm dying to see this movie, (love me some M. Night), though I may be disappointed, but Zooey has yet to disappoint anyone with her quirky-chic ensembles, yet.

News: No More John-ing for Jolie

Sadly, the gorgeous Angelina has been dropped by St. John Knits, and replaced by "four fashion models." Umm, broad and random. You may recall her 2007 Golden Globes look; it was courtesy of St. John.

Rest in Peace, Yves

As you probably know, legendary designer Yves Saint Laurent died recently; he's gone on to fashion heaven. Below is a look at the YSL Fall 2008 Runway.

Look for Less: Kate's Beachy White

That's a crappy title, I know. Anyway, Kate beckinsale was having (what appears to be) a smiley and fun time at the beach, presumably in Cali. She looked great and super chic; even wearing heels in the sand, wha?!!! That's big. Meesa lovin' the pop of color she gave the neutral look with red sunnies.

Sex and the City Miscellaneous Roundup

This is all the stragglers from the gal's (plus some) fab press tour. By the way- it took the numero uno spot at the box office with $56 mil.

Trend Radar: Black with a Pop

Ooo, a nice popping pow is a great update for summer; giving your blacks a boost. I especially love the way Michelle's working it.
