Parties: Rogan for Target Launch Bash

I reported a few weeks ago when Rogan for Target's sneak peek pics were released, and now the time has come to buy the eco-friendly line! And just like everything in Hollywood, the release had to be celebrated with a party in Los Angeles. A few celebs of mention came out to join in the festivities; Rachel Bilson said of the clothes, "I think its so cute and so wearable and its great for summer and eco-friendly. It's the perfect combination."

News: I Think I Cannes- On and Off the Red Rug

Ha, ha, like my pun? The Cannes International Film Festival is well underway, and set to premiere all of the movies we will all go gaga for at the box office (i.e. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which is showing tonight; so expect a few more pics of the marvelous Cate Blanchett). Anyway, many other stars have been getting their glam on at other bashes.

Parties: The Cast of SATC Sexes Up Berlin

Here we go again... All four fabulous cast members brought sexy back to Berlin on Thursday. Who can't wait for the New York City extravaganza-worthy premiere? I know I can't!

Let's break the fashion down:
Kristen in Oscar de la Renta: B- for looking sweet and frumpy.
SJP in Versace: A- for looking great, but not glaming it up enough.
Cynthia in a black halter gown: A for finding a look and sticking to it.
Kim in an orange frock: D+ for finding a great colored frock in an awful cut.

Parties: SATC's Fabulous Premiere in London

Whoohoo! I cannot contain my excitement! The Sex and the City world premiere was held in London earlier in the week. And what a night it was! Carrie, Charlotte, Samantha, and Miranda all came out to celebrate.

Let's break the fashion down:
SJP in Alexander McQueen and a Phillip Treacy hat: A+ for absolute fabulousness!
Kim in Vivienne Westwood: D+ for the dowdiness.
Cynthia in Calvin Klein: A- for glamming it up so well.
Kristen in Guy Laroche Couture: A for staying true to her classic self.

Trend Radar: Sheaths & Bold Necklaces

How's about one Upper East Sider channeling another sound to you? Well, it certainlysounds like a fashion palooza to me. In early April Sarah Jessica Parker looked chic and stunning on the red rug promoting the Sex and the City movie. Earlier in the week Gossip Girl's Blake Lively channeled the style setting star in a similar ensemle. Carrie is known to start a trend...

Trend Radar: Graphic Dresses

The following two ladies show off two ways to wear this trend- a wintery way and a summery way. You choose how to wear it, but, reminder- it's May.

{Leighton Meester in Chloe}

{Mischa Barton in Diesel}

Look for Less: Natalie's Judgmental Cannes Outfit

My favorite actress- Natalie Portman- was serving her juror duties yesterday at a photo call at Cannes. I'm loving the way she managed to mix a Lanvin blazer with a Rotter and Friends T-shirt with Jenny Kayne shorts with Te Casan-rosette-adorned heels. Whew! All that sophistication in one hip package is hard to do, but you can too...(gotta stop rhyming!)

News: Here Comes Cannes...

Yay! Film buffs such as myself are rejoicing with the start of the Cannes International Film Festival; one of the greatest and legendary fests in the industry. And the latest pictures are in. Is this year starting off more fabulous than ever? I think so!

Parties: A "Super" Costume Institute Gala

First of all, two things:
1) Sorry for the lack of posts, school's ugh; summer va-ca in 17 days!
2) I hate to bring up a topic after so long, but I will.

On with the post...

The Metropolitan Museum of Art hosted their annual, legendary ball on Monday, May 5th; this years theme was "Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy." The grand event was hosted by Giorgio Armani, George Clooney, and Julia Roberts this year. All the A-listers and designers came out to celebrate, as always, and the night was a mix and mingle of who's-who. If only I had an invitation, (or a ticket- the cheapest costs a pretty $6,500...)

{Katie Holmes in vintage Armani- '80's prom, much?}

{Jennifer Lopez looking a bit dowdy in Alberta Ferretti}

{Mr. Clooney with gal Sarah Larson, both looking super sophisticated in Armani}

{A sloppy-looking Scarlett Johansson, with her dress designers- Dolce & Gabbana}

Trend Radar: Peach Dresses

Who doesn't need [or want] a pinky-orange dress in their closet? It's perfect for the warm weather and has a simple chicness. Whether popping it with a bright color (see Eva) or keeping it subtle with neutral gray accessories (i.e. Posh) you're guaranteed to look fab!

Catwalk to Sidewalk: Reyes

For his second collection, José Ramón Réyes served up a menu of some sporty twenties sportswear with his varsity carigans and sailor-style drop-waist dresses. It was certainly a winning collection, considering it spawned the preppy sweater semi-trend. Channel your inner prepster with these fabulously affordable finds.

Sienna Loves Her Romper

My favorite style icon, Sienna Miller attended the Coachella Music Festival wearing, as the Brits call a "playsuit," by Young, Broke and Fabulous, twice and the only way that can be done is by changing it up. I happen to adore this casual look for it's bohemian roots and the utter coolness it evokes. (It's now topping my must list).

{Wearing it open, with a tee underneath and gladiators is great for day}

{Giving it a boho vibe with a fuzzy hat and boots}

Trend Radar: Nude Sandals

The trend of nude heels has been popular for sometime now, and now it's coming in sandal form. (Note that there are many ways to wear them).

{Eva Mendes looking spring ready in her Jimmy Choo's}

{Lake Bell in the same Jimmy Choo's and a fancier, shinier mini}

Red Carpet Style: Michelle Monaghan

I'll start off by saying that I wasn't the biggest fan of Michelle before this press tour. I saw Gone Baby Gone and loved it, but I didn't think she was very good in it. Anyway, regardless of her acting abilities, I'm now a huge fan of her style (and new haircut). Promoting this weekend's Made of Honor has brought her out to more than a few premieres and events. There's no way in hell I'm gonna pay $10 to see a poorly reviewed romcom, but I've really enjoyed looking at photos of her and McDreamy costar Patrick Dempsey.
